1978 Citizen Cosmotron Electronic Balance Mens Wristwatch Japanese Vintage

This is a vintage Citizen Cosmotron, manufactured in 1978.

It features a rare "electromagnetic balance" mechanism, which uses a battery for power while a balance wheel, a symbol of mechanical watches, keeps time.

The watch has a brown/silver color scheme with a stainless steel case and band.

The dial has a diameter of 1.52 inches (38.6mm).

The maximum wrist size is 7.09 inches (18cm) and is adjustable.

Functions include daily life water resistance and day/date display.

The date changes by pressing the crown at the 3 o'clock position.

The day changes by pressing the crown with the watch upside down.

All functions have been checked and cleaned, and the battery was replaced in May 2026.

There are minor scratches on the glass surface due to use, but no major scratches or dirt, and the overall condition is clean.
